Im snuggling with him our foreheads touching, I go to kiss him and he pulls away?

What does it mean, or what would you think if you were intimate with a guy, close, playful, snuggling, and then your forehead to forehead and staring into each others eyes. You go to kiss him, and he pulls away and says, "Don't do that to me". My first thought is wdf is wrong with you? Here we are, we've been intimate on every other level imaginable, but you don't want to kiss me and our 5 years of more than friendship we've only had like twice. (possibly 3 but we were both very drunk that night so I cant remember much) and you said those times were a mistake??? We are both in our 30s, single except to each other when together and your scared to death that I'm in love with you?? Seriously? What guy WOULDN'T be incredibly lucky and feel amazing to have a woman like me be so loyal and devoted to you??? I just don't get him! What do you guys think? Is this part of his bi polar disorder? Or a part of his commitment phobia? Or what? How would you feel if you were me?
