Instead of books use flash cards. Make your own on 3X5 lined index cards. Start with individual notes, then intervals, then chords. Take about five at a time and when you can accurately identify, take a different five. As you build up your ability to accurately identify with speed, shuffle them together and continue. This process must be done every day, accuracy first then speed. Best wishes
