Girls Please Help! Need Advice!!?

Its long but please read!! There is this girl that i have been talking to for over a month now. We have gone out a handful of times. When im with her we both seem to act "stupid" Its like my mind is elsewhere, i get forgetful, and sometimes just say stupid things that make no sence. She gets the same way. Tonight we went out and i made a comment that if we would be the "stupidest couple" becuase we both noticed how stupid we were. Do you believe in the saying being "stupid in love"? Is this an example of that? Its not obvious that we like each other, weve been in a "limbo" stage for a over a month, i cant tell that she likes me is this a sign? ThankYou.
